This is so true!
--------------------------------------------------------
In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord....,(Isaiah 6:1)
Our soul's personal history with God is often an account of the death of our heroes. Over and over again God has to remove our friends to put Himself in their place, and that is when we falter, fail, and become discouraged. Let me think about this personally- when the person died who presented for me all that God was, did I give up on everything in life? Or did I do as Isaiah did and see the Lord?
My vision of God is dependant upon the condition of my Character. My character determines whether or not the truth can be revealed to me. Before I can say, " I saw the Lord," there must be something in my character that conforms to the likeness of God. Until I am born again and really begin to see the Kingdom of God, I only see from the perspective of my own biases. What I need is God's surgical procedure- His use of external circumstances to bring about internal purification.
Your priorities must be God first, God second, and God third, until your life is continually face to face with God, and no one else is taken into account whatsoever. Your prayer should then be,
"In all the world there is no one but You, dear God; There is no one but You!"
Keep paying the price. Let God see that you are willing to live up to the vision.

I hope this will bless you as much as it has me. I love the wisdom of Oswald Chambers. He speaks the mind of God!

The Secret of the Lord- Oswald Chambers
I don't know if any of you have read Oswald Chambers, but I really like him. I just found my copy of My Utmost For His Highest, and thought I would start sharing an Entry for each month, out of the ones that I read. Here is June's Entry!

The Secret of the Lord!
By Oswald Chambers
June 1
The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him!"Psalm 25:14
What is the sign of a Friend? Is it that he tells you his secret sorrows? No, it is that he tells you his secret joys. Many people will confide their secret sorrows to you, but the final mark of intimacy is when they share their secret joys with you. Have we ever let God tell us any of His joys?Or are we continually telling God our secrets, leaving Him no time to talk to us?At the beginning of our christian life we are full of requests to God. But then we find that God wants to get us into an intimate relationship with Himself- to get us in touch with His purposes. Are we so intimately united in Jesus Christ's idea of Prayer-" Your will be done"(Mat. 6:10)- that we catch the secrets of God? What makes God so dear to us is not so much HisBig blessings to us, but the tiny things, because they show HIs amazing intimacy with us- He knows every detail of each of our lives.
" Him shall He teach in the way He chooses"(Psalm25:12). At first, we want the awareness of being guided by God. But then as we grow spiritually, we live so fully aware of God that we do not even need to ask what His will is, because the thought of choosing another way will not occur to us. If we are saved and sanctified, God guides us by our everyday choices. And if we are about to choose what He does not want, He will give us a sense of doubt or restraint, which we must heed. Whenever there is doubt, stop at once. Never try to reason it out, saying, " I wonder why I shouldn't do this?" God instructs us in what we choose;that is He actually guides our common sense. And when we yield to His teachings and guidance, we no longer hinder His Spirit by continually asking, " Now, Lord, what is Your will?"

That is the entry of Oswald Chambers I have selected for the Month of June. I hope it will be a blessing to you, as much as it has been to me!
